Garcia Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Saturday, May 20th , 2079 Win or lose, Ray Garcia just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The Montreal Harfangs center fielder went 2-for-5, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 9-8, by the Philadelphia Spectres at Sony Field at Philadelphia. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Ray Garcia hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. Garcia is hitting .288 so far this season with 25 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 44 hits including 7 home runs, 6 walks and .335 OBP. |
