Twins Tineo to Miss Year Saturday, May 20th , 2079 The Cincinnati Twins were dealt a severe blow when Jose Tineo was hurt running the bases recently in a game against the Minneapolis Vikings. After the game, the team trainer reported Tineo might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 29-year-old right fielder out for the rest of the season with a ruptured medial collateral ligament. They indicated it would take Tineo at least 7 months to heal. Thus far this year, Tineo is batting .295 with 8 home runs, 31 RBIs and 19 runs scored. |
