Jose Pedroza Wallops 3 Homers for Destroyers Thursday, May 18th , 2079 Jose Pedroza went on an explosive hitting spree against the Las Vegas Aces at Seaward Stadium, launching a trio of blasts to help the San Diego Destroyers win, 9-1. The right fielder finished 4-for-4 with 4 runs scored and 5 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Pedroza said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Las Vegas skipper Justin Coroian said Pedroza was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Jose Pedroza hit a solo-shot off Rafael Salabarria in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Rafael Salabarria in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Hemmu Chacha in the 7th. Thus far this year, Pedroza is hitting .311 with 11 home runs, 38 RBIs and 32 runs scored. |
