Chicago-Los Angeles Announce Deal Sunday, November 24th , 2080 According to BNN there were mixed emotions by the players involved in the trade between the Chicago Phantoms and the Los Angeles Stars. As part of the deal, the Phantoms swapped 28-year old CF Leo Arboleda to the Stars getting 22-year old minor league 2B Willie Vicente and 23-year old minor league RHP Hector Ortiz in return. The players indicated it was good to get a fresh new start in another city, but it was difficult to leave your friends on the old team. Arboleda has a lifetime .253 batting average and .333 on-base percentage in his 720-game career with 629 hits and 28 home runs. |
