The Kings right fielder received a torn back muscle during a game against the Atlanta Storm and will be out for at least 8 months. Club officials told BNN they did not expect him to return to the team this season. So far in 2009 Martínez is hitting .324 with no home runs, 3 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has 11 hits and played in 19 games. |
