Pittsburgh Stops Blagburn's Hit Streak
Sunday, September 16th, 2068
The streak has been snapped.
Allen Blagburn failed to get a hit in today's game against the Pittsburgh Eagles, bringing his 26-game hitting spree to an end. The 24-year-old Alaska designated hitter was 0-for-4, but the Kodiaks got the win and defeated the Eagles 6-1.
"I'm not disappointed at all -- I had a great run," Blagburn said. "I got to 26 games. I got my name into an elite group with a bunch of good ballplayers. What's there to complain about?"
Blagburn is currently hitting at a .324 pace with 19 home runs, 111 RBIs and has scored 119 times.
