Chicago won the series 5-2, capturing the title for the 7th time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Chicago manager Sam J. "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 98-64 and claimed first place in the Western Conference Nala Forcelledo Division. In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and shortstop Nala Forcelledo said the Phantoms have "great fans and they deserve this." "I am so happy for our city right now," he said.
