Takashi Komagai Lost for Season Monday, August 31st, 2065 The doctors have spoken and Takashi Komagai of the San Diego Destroyers didn't like what he heard. The 39-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Komagai sustained his season-ending injury during the Alaska Kodiaks game yesterday at Tundradome. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the San Diego medical staff reported Komagai had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. Komagai's record this year is 0-and-2 with 1 save and a 5.29 ERA. He has given up 52 hits in 47.2 innings with 44 strikeouts. |
