Portland Playoff Hopes Officially Zero Tuesday, September 28th , 2083 Portland Dragons manager Greg Carpenter said his players are "devastated" to have missed the playoffs. Today it became official -- the club has run out of games and was mathematically eliminated from qualifying for a spot in the postseason. The Dragons have missed the playoffs 24 times in their 39 years as a Rising Star League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2081. In the last 10 seasons, the Dragons have missed the playoffs 5 times. Portland has won the League Championship 3 times in their history. |
