Led by Ginjiro Muranaka, the Portland Dragons downed the San Diego Destroyers, 8-3. Muranaka went 2 for 5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Dragons. Portland reliever Eric Scherer picked up the win to move to 3-0. Si-dao Ci suffered the loss. The 4th-place Dragons bumped their record to 33-34.

Shigenobu Shimamoto, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2070, helped out the Portland cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-5. He drove in 2 runs.

"No complaints from me," said Dragons manager Greg Carpenter. "I like what I saw out there."
