Minneapolis pitcher Alex Mijangos did his part in helping his team defeat the Tucson Toros, 7-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Minneapolis sits in second place in the Western Conference Brian Boots Division at 35-31.

Minneapolis relied on the bat of Gerardo Freire to get the win. The catcher ripped a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Vikings ahead, 3-0. For the game, Freire had 2 doubles and 1 triple in 5 at-bats.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Mijangos after the game.
