Phantoms Keep Streak Alive With 4-3 Win
|
Kurt Bozek pitched well, but the Las Vegas Aces still lost the game, falling, 4-3, to the Chicago Phantoms at Western Coliseum. Chicago, at 37-29, sits in second place in the Western Conference Felipe Solorzo Division.
Chicago used the timely hitting of Luis Cortes to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Phantoms on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I like the groove we're in," said Cortes.
