The Phoenix Thunderbirds downed the Cincinnati Twins, 7-5, at Cincinnati Grounds. The Thunderbirds were led by Alex Pedraja. Pedraja went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Julio Carpinteyro, who leads the WC with a 10.8 K/9 rate, was the winner. He's now 3-4. The loser was Abdi Bitok.

With Phoenix leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Pedraja hit a fastball from Abdi Bitok for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Thunderbirds ahead, 3-0.
