Dragons Win 6-3 Walk-Off
|
Alex Guilzar made an impact in the 6-3 Portland win over Alaska. Guilzar, who is tied for 2nd in the WC in extra base hits with 32, was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The third-place Dragons now have a record of 31-31.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Portland trailing 3-2, Guilzar jumped on a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Andy Miao and hit a grand slam home run to center. With one swing, the Dragons had a walk-off win.
"The team always comes first," Guilzar told a reporter while responding to autograph requests. "Our fans like to come out to see a win, so I'm happy to do what I can to give them that."
