The San Francisco Friars overcame a big game from Las Vegas second baseman Adir Barrabi to pick up a win at Staples Field. The final score was 12-9, San Francisco, in 10 innings. Barrabi slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 5. San Francisco reliever O-min Che picked up the win to move to 2-1. Roberto Sotomayor suffered the loss. San Francisco is now 29-34, Las Vegas 27-36.

San Francisco got a knockout punch from Lyalya Markosiants. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Markosiants said.
