Narrow Win Takes San Francisco Streak to 8
|
San Francisco pitcher Nate Daniels did his part in helping his team beat the San Antonio Angels, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. San Francisco reliever Danny Umana picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. T.J. Younkin was saddled with the loss. San Francisco is now 38-25, while San Antonio is 17-45.
San Francisco right fielder Leonilde Tigre staked his team to an early lead in the bottom of the first inning, when he hit a 2-run single with the bases loaded.
"I believe in our guys," said San Francisco skipper Jeremy Cooan. "I like the energy they're playing with."
