The San Francisco Friars stormed past the Vancouver Wolves, 13-1, at Staples Field. San Francisco center fielderD.J. Trigg , who led the WC in batting average with .364 last year, led the hit parade. He went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2. The Wolves have now dropped 5 straight.

Early in the game, Trigg had a 2-run home run for San Francisco. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Friars on top, 2-0.
