Kodiaks Lose at Home, 3-1
|
Tundradome was the site of a tense game between the Alaska Kodiaks and Denver Glaciers.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Denver Glaciers and the Alaska Kodiaks, Su-shun Nie, who finished 3rd in the WC in wins with 17 in 2073, was the difference-maker. The Denver left-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. The Glaciers have an impressive 40-22 record.
Denver used a well-timed hit by Kamaluhaiakapu Kahakuokahale to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Glaciers ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"This is a very good team," said Kahakuokahale. "We have the chance to do something special."
