The Havana Metropolitanos converted a terrific effort from starter Kane Lancaster into a win over the Philadelphia Spectres at Estadio Latinoamericano. The Metropolitanos won the game by a final score of 3-2. Lancaster picked up the win for Havana, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 5-4. Philadelphia has now lost 4 in a row.

Had Frank Bradshaw not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Bradshaw hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Metropolitanos.

"Kane knows how to get ahead of hitters, stay ahead of hitters, and put people out," said Havana manager Kevin Mayerhofer.
