Tucson Bats Go Silent in 4-0 Loss
The Minneapolis Vikings went home winners at Minneapolis Grounds, thanks in large part to starter Jose Miera. Miera stifled the Tucson Toros, enabling Minneapolis to grab the 4-0 win. Johnny Wickwire earned the save for Minneapolis, his 12th of the year. Minneapolis goes to 26-35, Tucson to 22-40.

The Vikings got a big at-bat from center fielder David Espaillat. For the game, Espaillat went 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Minneapolis a 1-0 lead.

"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Vikings," said Espaillat.
