Videaux Lifts Glaciers to 10-6 Triumph
|
The Denver Glaciers beat the San Diego Destroyers, 10-6, at Mountain Dew Park. The win was due in part to first baseman Dennis Videaux, who belted 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Ricky Minjarez closed the door for Denver, picking up his 3rd save of the year. Denver is 4th in the Western Conference John Sexton Division with a record of 30-31.
Videaux contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Denver in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 5-2, Videaux took a fastball from Gang-sheng Kim and stroked the home run to left. His 16th home run of the season allowed the Glaciers to leap in front, 6-5.
"I had some good swings out there," said Videaux.
