The Tucson Toros wiggled past the Minneapolis Vikings, 2-1, at Aetna Stadium. The win was highlighted by the performance of Tucson pitcher Elza Ficquelmont. Tucson reliever Jorge Pacheco picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Lane Loat was tagged with the loss. With the win, Tucson is 3-4.

Tucson won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Lane Loat on the mound for Minneapolis, shortstop Hisatomo Fujii hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Toros fans to their feet.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Ficquelmont.
