Gaedels Reel In 2-0 Win
|
Adrian Portuondo, despite pitching a good game, was disappointed in the outcome: a tough, 2-0, defeat for the Baltimore Kings at the hands of the St. Louis Gaedels at AT&T Park. St. Louis starter Andres Anguiano was credited with the win after throwing 86 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 2-5. St. Louis is third in the Eastern Conference Rex Rawnsley Division with a record of 27-33.
Henry Jaimes had a direct impact on the outcome. Jaimes contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put St. Louis up, 2-0.
"Runs were at a premium," said St. Louis manager Mak Dolnick.
