Minneapolis Triumphs with Late Surge
Minneapolis parlayed a decent outing from starter Devon Jenkins into a solid win over the Kansas City Athletics. The final score was 6-4. Ontario Erie earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record is now 2-3. The third-place Vikings bumped their record to 28-32.

Minneapolis took a 5-4 lead on Tohru Asano's 13th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Asano hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Kansas City pitcher John Cantlon visibly frustrated.
