Big Day for Nishimoto in 7-2 Glaciers Win
|
The Denver Glaciers beat the Seattle Arrows, 7-2, at Power Ballpark. The win was due in part to catcher Kanehisa Nishimoto, who went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. With the win, the Glaciers improved to 35-24.
With Denver leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth, Nishimoto hit a fastball from Jared Bruner for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Glaciers ahead, 5-0.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
