Victory Takes Glaciers to 39-21
|
Denver Glaciers starter James L'Hommedieu was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Portland Dragons, 4-2. Jeremy Lanham, credited with the save, is now 6 for 7 in save opportunities. Denver leads the Western Conference Paul Richardson Division by 6½ games.
Denver used a well-timed hit by Joaquin Yanqui to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Glaciers ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
L'Hommedieu attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
