Las Vegas turned a good effort from starter Arturo Covarrubias into a win over the Chicago Phantoms at Foster Field. The final score was 3-1. Las Vegas reliever David Calzacorta was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Omar Romero took the loss. Jose Castillo notched his 5th save of the season.

Las Vegas used the timely hitting of Bobby Brito to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Aces on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"The other side played a good game," said Chicago manager Sam J. "You tip your cap to them."

The Aces saw their record improve to 28-31.
