Alaska Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
|
Gary Banks was nothing short of phenomenal for the San Diego Destroyers. The 25-year-old right-hander was a big reason his team beat the Alaska Kodiaks, 2-0. With the win, San Diego climbs to 3-4.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Nelson Capristo didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Alaska trailing 2-0, Capristo retired Boyd Heath to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Capristo, with a wink.
