Friars Walk It Off for 37th Win of Season
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the San Francisco Friars and the Phoenix Thunderbirds, John Hersey was the difference-maker. The San Francisco right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. San Francisco is first in the Western Conference Nala Forcelledo Division with a record of 37-20.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when San Francisco left fielder Leonilde Tigre, facing Jason Reilly, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Friars the 3-2 win.
"This wasn't a good win," said Tigre. "It was a great win."
