Markosiants Impressive in San Francisco Win
At Mountain Dew Park, the Denver Glaciers and San Francisco Friars were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

In a low-scoring contest, San Francisco pitcher Lyalya Markosiants was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-0 win. Mike Pechtel nailed down his 16th save.

Markosiants, who dominated for San Francisco, earned the victory to move to 6-4. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 7. Denver batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

Said Denver manager Todd Bleess: "When you don't score, it's never a good thing."

The second-place Friars now have a win-loss record of 35-23.
