The Cincinnati Twins took on the Washington Senators at The ESPN Zone.
With second baseman Nick Phipps leading the charge, the Cincinnati Twins defeated the Washington Senators, 8-3, at The ESPN Zone. Phipps, who is tied for 9th in the EC in stolen bases with 12, was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The Twins move to 28-30 with the win, while the Senators drop to 25-32.
With Cincinnati leading 4-3 in the top of the ninth, Phipps hit a fastball from Steve McFarlen for a grand slam home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Twins ahead, 8-3.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Phipps.
