The Toronto Juggernauts picked up a win at Molson Park, dropping the Portland (E) Lobster, 5-4. Roberto Ruiz, who leads the EC in wins with 7, was the difference-maker. Manny Carbonell claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 3-3. The win for the Juggernauts raised their record to 28-28.

Toronto got a clutch hit from Juan Besinaiz. The third baseman launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Portland (E) manager Matthew McExpos.
