Harfangs Win Again, Extend Series Lead to 4-2
|
Riding the 4-hit performance of first baseman Eddie Kelly, the Montreal Harfangs got a road win against the Minneapolis Vikings, 9-2, in Game 6 of the League Championship. Kelly went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Harfangs, who now lead the best-of-9 series, 4 games to 2.
Schaumburg, Illinois native Eddie Kelly had a clutch at-bat in the top of the seventh for the Harfangs. With Montreal trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.
"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Kelly said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mount Royal Park in Montreal.
