Miami Draws First Blood in League Championship With 6-4 Win
The Miami Cyclones started the League Championship in style, winning on the road against the Chicago Phantoms at Foster Field by a score of 6-4 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-9 series. Cyclones second baseman Anaximander McKay excelled. He was 3 for 4 with 3 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.

With two out in the top of the fifth, Jason Diaz put Miami in front, 4-3, with a run-scoring single. The Cyclones went on to win the ballgame.

"We didn't play well enough to win," Chicago skipper Sam J said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Foster Field in Chicago.
