Montreal Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in CC
Elmo Fasanaro pitched a gem to help the Montreal Harfangs escape with a tight, 2-0 victory over the Miami Cyclones in a low-scoring Conference Championship contest. The right-handed Fasanaro threw 7.2 innings of shutout ball in the win, just enough for the Harfangs on a day when their offense dried up. Montreal now leads the best-of-7 series 2-1.

Fasanaro allowed no runs over 7.2 innings. He also racked up 6 strikeouts.

"The old adage is true," said Fasanaro. "Good pitching stops good hitting."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mount Royal Park in Montreal.
