Buffalo Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
Already down in the League Championship, the Buffalo Rangers put on their best show, beating the Los Angeles Stars by a final score of 5-4 today. Eloy Laca was special. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Buffalo now trails Los Angeles 2-1 in the best-of-9 affair.

Kamakana Aniani dealt the Stars a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Buffalo leading 2-0, Aniani, who finished 5th in the EC in OPS with .923 last year, hit a 1-1 slider for a bases-clearing double.

Aniani called the triumph "a good team win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bison Stadium in Buffalo.
