In a pivotal Game 5, the Buffalo Rangers were hoping for a big game from starter Mike O'Keefe. They got one.

The right-hander shut out the Brooklyn Browns, proving to be the difference-maker as he led his club to a 7-0 victory. The Rangers took the 7-0 win over the Brooklyn Browns to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.

O'Keefe, who was born in Glen Head, New York, threw 96 pitches over 8.1 innings, while allowing no runs.

"Teams don't get here by being incompetent, so I really wasn't expecting this," O'Keefe said. "I just kept throwing and they kept missing."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Brown Town in New York.
