Minneapolis Vikings starter Pedro Urquiola turned in an exceptional performance against the Tucson Toros at Minneapolis Grounds, resulting in a Minneapolis win, 3-2. Brian Burda notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record now sits at 2-3. The Vikings now have a mark of 32-25.

Had Vince Minta not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Minta hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Vikings.

"Tip of the cap to the Vikings," said Tucson manager Rick Barnes. "They played a good game."
