Aquas Slap 7-2 Loss on San Francisco
|
Houston second baseman Al Anzaldua contributed significantly to his team's 7-2 win over the San Francisco Friars. Anzaldua, who leads the WC in hits with 76, went 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Aquas. The Aquas now have a mark of 37-19.
David Kuthakwakulu had a big bases-clearing triple for the Aquas in the bottom of the second inning. With Houston leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Lyalya Markosiants, who is a six-time All-Star, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 7th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aquas ahead, 4-0.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Anzaldua.
