Raucous Foster Field Crowd Propels Phantoms to 2-0 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The Chicago Phantoms and the Los Angeles Stars will take the Conference Championship to a decisive 7th game. Facing a must-win situation, the Phantoms shut out the Stars, 2-0, at Foster Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Chicago right-hander Rafael Escobar did his part. He threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball.

Los Angeles had little success against Escobar and his curveball. Escobar tossed 111 pitches over 7.1 innings for the Phantoms.

"Runs were at a premium," said Chicago manager Sam J.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Stars Ballpark in Los Angeles.
