Vikings Heading to League Championship
|
The sweet swing of Leonilde Tigre has led his team through the Conference Championship.
The Minneapolis Vikings star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the Alaska Kodiaks to advance to the League Championship.
The Vikings won the final game at Tundradome by a score of 4-2 and the series 4-2.
"I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Tigre. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs."
For the series, Tigre hit .409 with a .462 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Minneapolis Vikings don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Montreal Harfangs - Baltimore Kings series. Montreal leads the series 3 games to 2. The League Championship schedule will be announced after the Conference Championship finishes.
