Metropolitanos Make It 4 In a Row with 7-2 Triumph Over Miami
Havana took on Miami in front of a lively crowd.

The Havana Metropolitanos stopped the Miami Cyclones, 7-2, at Estadio Latinoamericano. The Metropolitanos got a big game from Pete Delzeit, who was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The win was credited to 31-year old right-handed pitcher Jon Dehmer in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Jeremy Fitch took the loss.

Had Casey Marko not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Marko hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Metropolitanos.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Delzeit.

Havana has a record of 35-21, placing them first in the Eastern Conference Benito Cossutta Division.
