Titans Win Again, Extend Series Lead to 3-0
|
The New York Titans are one game away from a sweep of the Brooklyn Browns today after a road win at Brown Town, 5-3. Titans right-hander Jeong Lee had a strong outing. He threw 7.2 innings of 6-hit ball. New York now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.
The outcome might have been different for New York, had it not been for Carlos Guadamuz, the 2076 EC batting champion . Guadamuz stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put New York up, 3-1. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"I got everyone together and told them they did great today," New York manager Nate Beckman told BNN reporters after the game. "But I warned them that even if we make it out of the Divisional Series, it's only going to get harder."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Brown Town in New York.
