Titans Heading to Conference Championship
|
The sweet swing of Jimmy Keener has led his team through the Divisional Series.
The New York Titans star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the Havana Metropolitanos to advance to the Conference Championship.
The Titans won the final game at Polo Grounds II by a score of 8-1 and the series 4-3.
"I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Keener. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs."
For the series, Keener hit .419 with a .438 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The New York Titans will play against the Montreal Harfangs in the next round. Montreal won their series against the Miami Cyclones 4 games to 1. The Conference Championship schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
