Aniani, Rangers Sink Metropolitanos Again in Game 3
|
The Buffalo Rangers are now one game away from a sweep of the Havana Metropolitanos after a dramatic walk-off win in the 15th inning at Bison Stadium today. Rangers first baseman Kamakana Aniani earned accolades in the 5-2 victory for a strong outing in which he went 3-7 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Buffalo holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.
In the bottom of the 15th, with the score tied, Aniani hammered a 3-run home run to win it for Buffalo.
"We aren't quitting," Havana manager Mark Sands said. "Yeah, the odds are definitely in their favor, but they've got to earn it."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Estadio Latinoamericano in Havana.
