Kodiaks Heading to Conference Championship
|
Depending on your loyalties, the Divisional Series was either thrilling or heartbreaking.
The series went down to its final game, with the Alaska Kodiaks and the Kansas City Athletics giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Kodiaks came out on top, winning 9-0 at Ballpark of Missouri today to take the series 4-3.
"We're lucky to be going into the Conference Championship," said Alaska pitcher Alderaan Pike. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason."
Pike earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .444 average, with 3 home runs, 7 RBI and 8 runs scored.
The Alaska Kodiaks will play against the Minneapolis Vikings in the next round. Minneapolis won their series against the Houston Aquas 4 games to 2. The Conference Championship schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
