Almost There: Chicago On Cusp of DS Triumph After 8-5 Win
The Chicago Phantoms moved to within one game of the Conference Championship, downing the Denver Glaciers on the road at Mountain Dew Park by a score of 8-5. Phantoms left-hander Juzo Matsumoto had a strong outing. He threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The win gives the Phantoms a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.

In the top of the fourth, Chicago second baseman Jose Enciso had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 1st and one out, Enciso stroked a 2-run home run to right-center. It made the score 4-1, Chicago. For the game, he went 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We're happy," Enciso told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Foster Field in Chicago.
