Conference Championship Game 1 Goes to Minneapolis, Thanks to Arakawa
The Minneapolis Vikings started the Conference Championship in style, downing the visiting Alaska Kodiaks at Minneapolis Grounds by a score of 9-3 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Vikings designated hitter Gentaro Arakawa was 1 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

Leonilde Tigre helped his team take an early lead with a 3-run home run. It came in the first inning, making the score 3-0, Vikings.

"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Tigre. "But I have better dreams after a win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Minneapolis Grounds in Minneapolis.
