Dragons Hammered by Perez, Fall Further Behind in CC
Riding the 2-hit performance of designated hitter Ramiro Perez, the Los Angeles Stars got a road win against the Portland Dragons, 5-4, in Game 3 of the Conference Championship today. Perez was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Stars, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 0.

Los Angeles used a timely hit from Willis Aguilar to get the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stars ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We're happy," Aguilar told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Portland Park in Portland.
