Stars Clip Glaciers, 4-3, in DS Contest

The Los Angeles Stars have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Denver Glaciers, winning, 4-3, at Stars Ballpark. Stars right-hander Cursive DeMarco threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Stars to 3-1 in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.
Tohru Asano broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the fourth with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Stars in front, 3-2. For the game, Asano was 2-4 with 2 doubles and a walk.
"Things broke our way today and that's great," Stars manager Pat Kaers said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mountain Dew Park in Denver.
