Kansas City first baseman Chris Horn was sensational. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Minneapolis beat the Athletics, 12-7. Minneapolis now has a record of 37-19 with the win.

Minneapolis used the timely hitting of Mike Ramirez to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Vikings on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Minneapolis skipper Ace Cooan.
