The San Francisco Friars downed the Vancouver Wolves, 5-0, at Staples Field. San Francisco pitcher Shaun Chugh had a scintillating performance. Manny Arango earned his 1st save, after closing out the game. This loss makes it 6 in a row for Vancouver.

The Wolves had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Friars going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old third baseman Riley Cooke came to the plate. Cooke hit a 2-run home run on a 3-1 fastball from Vancouver hurler Raul Garibaldi. It was Cooke's 9th home run of the year.

Said losing manager Matt Libid: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
