Torrecilla Bashes 5 Base Hits
It was high-fives all around for Luis Torrecilla at Brown Town today.

He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Brooklyn Browns. Torrecilla smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 16-9 win.

"Luis was hitting everything," said Greens manager Matt Glazer. "It really was a special game for him."

In the opposing dugout, Browns manager Jason Cormier told BNN beat writers that Torrecilla "ambushed" the club.

"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Torrecilla oversleeps next time."

Luis Torrecilla doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Julio Olivo in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.

So far this year Torrecilla is batting .228 with 15 home runs.
