Seattle got a first-rate effort from pitcher Ricky Zika, who frustrated Denver hitters en route to a 2-1 Arrows triumph at Power Ballpark. Zika yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 10. His record improves to 1-0. Chris Isaacks recorded the save for Seattle, his 2nd of the season.
Seattle took a 2-1 lead on Colin Cuyler's 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Cuyler hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Denver pitcher Alexis Cosme visibly frustrated.
"Ricky was electric," said Seattle manager Dr. Jay Siber.
The Arrows raised their record to 4-2.
